The Connection We’re All Craving

Last weekend, I was out to dinner with my husband. At one point, I looked around and realized that nearly every table around us had phones out—people scrolling, checking messages, photographing their meals. Hardly anyone was really talking. I felt a pang in my chest because I know I’ve done the same thing. Surrounded by others, yet somewhere else entirely.
And it isn’t just happening in our personal lives. I see the same thing in workplaces all the time—people moving fast, eyes down, juggling meetings, emails, and crises, rarely creating space to think, connect, or ask for help. Leaders aren’t immune; in fact, they might be the most at risk. So many are the “onlys” in their role, carrying the weight of responsibility in isolation.
It’s heartbreaking to see how normal this has become—but it also reminds me why our work matters so much. Every day, we have the chance to interrupt this pattern—to model what true connection looks like.
And I get that might seem easier said than done. You might be reading this and thinking, I want that, but I don’t know how to make it a reality.
That’s where our Teams Learning Library and PLC comes in.
When I created the Skill Sessions you’ll find inside, I knew they needed to equip you with the skills, language, and frameworks to navigate challenges in healthier, more connected ways. But what I knew even more deeply was that the magic happens in the community—in the PLC.
It’s in having a space to problem-solve with people who understand. To be reminded that you don’t have to lead alone.
Imagine how different leadership could feel if you always had a place to turn for help, perspective, and connection.
It’s been game-changing for those who have experienced it this year:
"These PLC's are changing lives! We need community so badly in these times as leaders. Thank you, thank you, thank you Bright Morning team!" Nessa M.
We weren’t made to do this work—or life—alone. Let’s make 2026 the year you find your people. Join us.
