Why Organizations Invest in the Studio
You invest in professional development, but the results are inconsistent. Too often, people leave thinking, that was a waste of time. And little, if anything, actually changes in practice.
It’s not just a content problem or a facilitation problem. It’s both.
Your facilitators build the capacity to design and lead learning that works in real conditions, with real people, real resistance, and real constraints.
Sessions are purposeful and worth people’s time. Participants stay engaged and do meaningful thinking. Learning translates into day-to-day practice.
- Every session improves.
- Every facilitator gets stronger.
- Every team benefits.
This is how you turn professional development from something people endure into something that actually changes practice.
What’s Included
Quarterly Facilitator Intensives with Elena Aguilar (Live, 3 hours each)
Immersive, practice-based sessions focused on your internal way of being as a facilitator.
This is the only place you can work directly with Elena Aguilar on how you show up in high-stakes moments: how you navigate tension, hold complexity, and lead with clarity and steadiness when it matters most.
These sessions are highly interactive and exploratory. You will engage in guided reflection, real-time practice, and feedback to strengthen your presence and decision-making in the moment.
This level of development is not available in any other Bright Morning offering.
Unlimited Access to Bright Morning’s Facilitation Workshops
You’ll complete 24 Skill Sessions across four essential areas:
Facilitation Skill Sessions (On-demand)
- Attend PD that Changes Practice and Virtual Facilitation as many times as you want, virtual or in-person.
- Short, video-based learning sessions you can apply immediately.
- Design: Plan sessions that are clear, purposeful, and realistic
- Delivery: Facilitate moment-to-moment with clarity and intention
- Adaptation: Respond skillfully when things go off script
- Execution: Make facilitation work in real-world conditions
Each session is 30–45 minutes with direct instruction, examples, tools, and a clear next step.
Ask Elena (On-demand)
Recorded answers to real facilitation challenges, so you can get Elena’s guidance exactly when you need it.
Each recording focuses on a specific issue, such as reworking an agenda, responding to resistance, or adjusting when a session is not landing. Elena walks you through how to think about the situation and what to do, with demonstrations, clear guidance, and tools you can use right away.
These are shaped by questions and scenarios submitted by Studio participants. You can search for what you need in the moment, and if an answer does not yet exist, you can submit your own challenge to be addressed in a future recording.
Monthly Studio Sessions (Virtual live PLC)
Bring your upcoming agenda, get feedback, workshop decisions, and practice specific facilitation moves aligned to your real challenges.
Post challenges, share agendas and resources, and get ideas from other facilitators. Message peers directly, continue conversations, and learn from how others are navigating similar situations in real time.
Private Online Community
- A facilitated, small-group practice space where you apply what you are learning.
Eligibility to obtain Art of Facilitation Certification
- Private online community (Ongoing access)
- An active space to ask questions, get feedback, and stay connected between sessions.
The Studio is the only pathway to certification through Bright Morning. Participants who meet the requirements can earn certification by demonstrating their facilitation skills in practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Art of Facilitation Certification earned?
Studio participants can pursue Art of Facilitation Certification. Certification is not automatic; it reflects demonstrated skill.
To earn certification, you must:
- Complete all 24 Skill SessionsÂ
- Actively participate in each monthly Studio practice session
- Attend all four Quarterly Facilitator Intensives with Elena Aguilar
- Submit facilitation artifacts (agendas, session designs)
- Demonstrate integration of Bright Morning’s facilitation approach
Certification signals that you can design and lead learning that changes practice, not just deliver content.
What is the cost for certification?
$500 covers artifact review, feedback, certificate, and a digital badge to be displayed on your LinkedIn profile.
What if I miss a session or intensive?
It depends on your goals.
If you are pursuing certification, consistent participation is required. Certification is based on demonstrated practice over time, and the live sessions are where that practice happens.
Here’s how attendance works for certification:
- Skill Sessions and Ask Elena recordings are available on-demand and must be completed as part of the learning experience.
- Monthly Studio (practice) sessions are required. One absence is allowed, with an alternative option to practice and receive feedback with another Studio participant. If you miss a session, you are responsible for arranging and completing this make-up practice in a timely way.
- Quarterly Facilitator Intensives are required and cannot be missed.
If you’re unable to attend, you can join that intensive in a future cohort, which will delay your certification timeline.
If you are not pursuing certification, you have more flexibility in how you engage.
You can attend the sessions that are most relevant to your work and schedule. That said, the full experience is designed to build your skill, confidence, and judgment over time—so your level of participation will directly impact your outcomes.
Can I join if I’m not a full-time facilitator?
Yes. If you facilitate as part of your role and want to get better at designing and leading groups, you’ll fit right in.
Is this more like a course or more like ongoing support?
It’s both!
The workshops offer structured, foundational learning. The Facilitation Learning Library and Studio sessions provide ongoing support—giving you a place to practice, get feedback, and work through real facilitation challenges as they arise. Together, they combine the clarity of a course with the flexibility and relevance of ongoing support.
Is this included in the Bright Morning Membership?
The full Art of Facilitation Studio + Certification Program is not included in the Bright Morning Membership.
The Facilitation Learning Library is included, which gives members access to the Skill Sessions and Ask Elena recordings. Members who are committed to completing the full Studio experience can add on the live program and certification pathway for a small additional fee.
Is this eligible for Graduate-Level Professional Development Semester Units/Credits?
Yes. Participants are eligible to earn graduate-level professional development semester units/credits. The number of credits depends on how much of the program you complete, with up to 6 credits available.
